“The Udewa Juzu” by ONENESS_JUZU is inspired by the principles of “Wa (Harmony, Peace, and Gentleness)” and the ”Three Treasures (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha)”, as taught in Prince Shōtoku’s Seventeen-Article Constitution, a foundational work in Japan’s Mahāyāna Buddhist tradition.

In Buddhism, the harmony in which all things exist together, each retaining its own unique nature, is called “Ichinyo”.
We express this spirit with the English word ONENESS.
It is the teaching that encourages us to honor one another’s individuality, live in mutual respect, and cultivate harmony together―the very heart of the Buddha’s Dharma.

The six sacred syllables of “Namu Amida Butsu” express entrusting one’s heart to the immeasurable light and boundless life of Amida Buddha.
At ONENESS_JUZU, we represent this sacred sound in Roman letters as “namamdhabud”.
It is a gentle reminder that can be carried with you anytime and anywhere―a sound that offers the heart a place to return.
Linkuzan Kyosyuji Temple
